The girl in front of me in Property records class with her computer. She inserts the sound bites into links in her class notes. Then when she needs to hear a part of class she wants to go over again, she simply clicks on the link. Genius. Scary at the same time.

I think you should mumble some crazy stuff during class, just loud enough for her computer to pick-up.
Maybe a few sublimal messages like, "you suck" or a couple of profanities while the prof is speaking. That should throw her off a little...

but i have to remember to tell the rest of the class "earmuffs" first.
Hm. Smart. If I knew how to do it, I'd definitely consider it. But does she check with each of her professors? Because many of them prefer for their classes not to be taped - some will relax this rule if it's a one time occasion, but not for every class.
