Fuck George Bush

Just when i thought that i couldnt hate his ignorant ass any more, Fox had to run his oil energy speech when a new OC episode is on. People who know me that there are two things you dont mess with- My OC and my woman. Dont fuck with a good thing. The coffin holding the chance a Repub had gettin my vote just got screwed shut.

The S.F. Treat

I wanted to thank the lady who falsely charged Wendy's with putting a finger in the chili. Just when I got comfortable eating there she had to go and do this. Now they can put whatever they want in the chili and no one can say anything without being thrown in jail. And trust me, there are worse things that can be in your chili than a finger...

San Fran is fun but the weather sucks. My friends are off enjoying the corporate life until 5pm so I am on my own for a few hours.

Last Day in San Diego

Tonight is my last night visiting my dad. Its been a fun trip so far. Wish I could have surfed some but without a board I would have better luck playing pickup sticks with my butt cheeks (john candy quote).

Dad and I are going to In-n-Out for my last chance at a double double before i leave.

Tomorrow, Off to Chino to see where Ryan from the OC is from. Just kidding, im visiting Puddles, a fraternity brother. We have a bet going that whoever is more outta shape pays for dinner. I love free meals.

Paradise Minus One

San diego is nice and all, but my girlie is too damn far away. I have my wetsuit and no surfboard which feels like ham with no burger or peanut butter with no jelly. I am lost. Its great hanging out with my dad down here, but that is only a temporary lull in the sadness.

In my spare time I am getting addicted to buying designer jeans on ebay for cheap. Seems like the prices are too good to be true.

Daily quote from a surfing hippie.

Enjoyed a nice long workout yesterday for the first time in almost three weeks. My friends would laugh at how out of shape I am. Only my fellow law students and I can relate to how hard it is to maintain an active lifestyle in law school. Most of my excercise comes from lugging my books to the library, or opening that bottle of scotch. Just kidding. Hey, lawyers are not known for their humor.

I have changed my daily diet accordingly. Tonight for dinner, I am trying a new diet that uses food combinations. With this diet you can eat whatever you want. You can eat whatever you want! Dinner will be a lemon rind with raisin skins. Not the whole raisins, you take the skins and steam them.

Cali is cloudy and cold today.

Quote from a surfing hippie left on a rock at the beach- "Time wounds all heels".

Now, i have to spend time with those who deserve it the most.

its been memorable yall. im out. expect posts later in the week. now that shcool is done i have no internet.

Beef

I have a complaint about the school i currently attend. For $700 the school psychologist will evaluate you and determine whether you have a "learning disability". For those who genuinely have one, I apologize in advance as this post is inspired by those who do not.

After the student is determined to have a "ld", they are given an extra 2 hours on exams. Does the teacher know that they had 5 hours to complete the horserace Torts exam? No. Fair playing field? NO.

There are so many people who have "ld"s here, that one class is over 50% "ld" students. Hello people, the bar exam doesnt give you extra time. Your clients wont give you extra time. The judge wont give you extra time. Why do I have to suffer because a majority of my classmates slept through ethics class and decided to play the system in their favor.

Even more to blame is the school. There seems to be a big conflict of interest considering the student pays the school who then pays the doctor. If it sounds fishy thats because it is. I know plenty of classmates who have "ld"s but they participate in active lecture in class. They also know a lot more than me. They also get 2 extra hours on the exam.

In the long run they are only cheating themself. But try convincing the school that...

Con Law and Civ Pro

Conlaw was a beast. 56 multiple choice questions and two essays. Luckily the essays were only worth 14% because they were ambiguous and im not sure i was on the right track.

Civ pro was a monster too. I sat and stared at the essay questions for roughly a 30 minutes before a few ideas popped in my head. This was the first time i have ever put alternate answers on a test. The questions were too ambiguous and I really didnt know what the prof wanted so I put multiple answers. I was feeling very uneasy about this until I post-mortem'ed the exam with my buddy over lunch. I was relieved to find out he had put the identical alternate answers.

We also went out to lunch with number 1 from our class and he told us that he thought contracts was a tough exam. Its nice to know the people at the top have trouble like us bottom feeders.

4 exams down and 1 more to go tomorrow at 8 am. Good luck to all. I promise more interesting posts this summer as a contestant on "Partner for a summer" airing on TLC next fall.

Torts

this was the horserace exam. The subject matter was not all that complicated, just lengthy. Everyone can understand the info. It comes down to who can organize it and spit it out the fastest. Basically, you are crawling over bodies to get a good grade. In just 2 hours and 45 min, I answered 27 multiple choice questions and typed 18 pages. Not bad. Im happy, and its time to move on to con law.

Goodbye you old bag

Contracts is done. What a relief. I hated the prof, and she taught us nothing. That was the class i knew the least in by far, and i still think it went okay. Everyone else seems to be completely upset. Well good luck to all. Now, time to tackle torts.

Here we go

This is my last day to study until finals. Im a little nervous but will be ready. Wish me luck. The next finals I will have will be at another school. Weird to think. Good luck to all and remember it is just law school. I wish you all that made this year so memorable and enjoyable the best.

Sorry to all my friends who have called me. I am soo busy.

See you all on the flipside.

The difference between filet mignon and macaroni and cheese.

As my hot cheerleader dropped me off at class today, I realized that this was my last class ever at my current law school. Never again will I see those classmates that i have grown to love, except maybe for a post mortem or two after finals. These are great memories and I will always look back on my first year of law school with fondness.

On the other hand, when a client bitches to me about how expensive my hourly rate is, i am going to delve into a nice rant about the last few weeks of my first year. I will mention how crappy not sleeping is, how cramming all this info into my brain hurt, and i will leave them with the notion that I possess endless knowledge of the body of law. Then after that 20 minute tirade, I will bill them for that time.

If Jennifer lopez and a cheeseburger had a kid

There is a great line that I am having a hard time remembering right now from the movie Boiler room. Something to the effect of "if i throw you a life vest are you gonna take it?". This is pretty applicable right about now. I decided to stop moping about how hard this crap is and study. Im going to give it my all, even if it gets the carpet dirty. This year has truly been blood, sweat, and tears. Now its time to show them why I came to play.

Bring it on Contracts.

My feelings

I feel like someone just pulled my pants down in front of the whole school on a cold winter day.

5 days to finals and im scared shitless. A few classes I am lost in. I put in 12 hours today and I would do more if my body could take it. I need to stick it out. Law school is hell but well worth it so far.

Tortellini

Prof Torts writes a horserace exam. You are almost guaranteed not to finish unless you are speedy. I had a bad experience on a horse, where it stopped to pee for like 5 minutes while everyone else rode off into the sunset. I hope this doesnt happen on this exam...

We are the champions my friend

What a good night sleep will do to man. I am still tired, but no longer does my back and neck hurt. Im not disclosing which luxurious hotel i am staying in, but lets just say that it has a number in the name.

UNC won a well deserved win, but I was dissappointed to see how many fouls were called.

I decided to sell my books back, even though we only get half of what we paid back. I was contemplating lugging them back with me home, but that would be pointless and a huge burden. Its not like I used them anyway.

I promise that there will be some more interesting posts this summer. For now, my brain hurts.

He could go all the way

Still kicking strong. This term has so much more to memorize. Civ Pro is fun but scary. Our prof writes really long fact patterns in an attempt to throw people off. This is a class I especially want to do well in considering it reflects your aptitude at this level to bring a civil case to trial.

I was sad to learn that a 1L here committed suicide last week. Very sad. Its only law school and it killed him. Another kid from our section had a mental breakdown. Law school is tough, and doing well is critical but it is sad to see some people ruin their lives because of it.

If you are stressing really bad about finals just put the perspective goggles on and realize its only a piece of paper. Take a deep breath. And dont eat beans the night before a final. No matter what.

Percolate this!

I dont think i can get any more wired than i am now. 20 oz of some good black coffee is making me want to Bobby Bouche my torts outline.

For those who say there is no time to blog during dead week you are wrong. I am microwaving my poptarts instead of toasting them so that I can have time to give my readers these tasty nuggets-o-wisdom. ive actually given out two autographs at this school because of this blog.

back to our regularly scheduled torts review.

i will be back later when i crash. until then, lucy in the sky with diamonds...

If you had to buy one encyclpedia, which letter would it be?

A of course. A for my name, A for what i would call some people that like to screw me over right before finals. A for my girlfriends name. A for the rating i would give all my friends for how much they have helped me lately. And the most important. A for each class. That would be nice.

The Case of the Homeless Law Student

The beauty of living in the hellhole that Michigan is, is the lack of adequate accomodations available for a reasonable price. Right now the cheapest i can find is about 194 a week. Not bad, but not necessarily quiet enough for finals sleep.

Cramming my brains out. I need to improve my GPA so i can get into school in my hometown.

It is surreal how fast this year went. ONly two more years of school then I get to wear the big pants.

Time for more conlaw cramming.

The Freshmaker

You know its a great day when you open a new package of Fruit Mentos and most of them are strawberry.

Bitche$

Here's to you Bitches. Not only have you made it so I have no place to live in this damn town, you threw me out on my ass a week before finals. Its ok though, haters never get past in the end. So Jen and Steph, I would like you to meet my friend Karma. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention she's a bitch.
